Found this on the computer and can’t stop laughing because we have the kids from baby baby all the way until somewhat recently on our photobooth.  The following picture is from 2009. Hopefully you all have some fun weekend plans!  I will be working for a good part of the weekend, and sneaking some BBC’s […]

This past week was a doozie, for so many reasons, but Ever has been awarded the award for being the first child in our family to cut their own hair. (And what I mean by “award” is really much more like dishonorable mention). None of the other kids have come remotely close to cutting their hair […]

OMG! It took her forever to grow that hair and then she so nonchalantly dismisses it! BUT I must say, the haircut is positively adorable on her! One look at that face and yes, you know she is ‘just that kid’. All’s well that ends well.ReplyCancel

  • Oh man! Is it horrible that I did something similar to this when I was 19 and decided to give myself bangs? Yeah, I definitely should have waited for my aunt Janine! At least Ever’s hair cut turned out really cute in the end!ReplyCancel

Oh how I wish I could have been there to watch! Hehe.ReplyCancel

Mallory did that, I almost died! She was my “just that kid” that had to touch and try everything. Once she crawled under the car and had to touch the exhaust pipe (which was hot) , she crawled over our floor heater while it was on, etc etc. Made me feel like the most negligent mother! Glad it turned out well for you.ReplyCancel

It is a bummer how this haircut came to be BUT she was made to have that haircut….it REALLY suits her! So adorable!ReplyCancel

Oh my gosh! That made me laugh SO hard! LOVE the story and how animated you were when you told it! And I agree, that hair cut looks so fabulous on her! My youngest (Lael, my only girl), is definitely THAT kid. So my day is coming. 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Oh my! I’ve so been there. My son cut a small but noticeable piece out of the back of my daughter’s hair almost two years ago. The end result was adorable once it was fixed but my! did he hear it and boy has it taken a long time to grow back out!ReplyCancel

Oh gees, could Ever be any cuter? I gave my niece, Luna, a haircut that looked almost identical when she was about 4 and I’ve been trying to get her to let me do it again ever since! Little girls look so darn cute with hip, short hair. Agh, I want a girl…ReplyCancel

PS. Obviously they grow out of it !! She was definitely NEVER boring, I wouldn’t have changed her either. 🙂

Omgosh, I was dying over Penelope’s funny little personality the other day, and Mallory tried to blame Phil saying he was a quirky little kid. Now I know the truth, haha! I always tell Joel that Ever makes me feel like a bad parent. Totally know what you mean!
