My brother came by today with his lovely love Kelsi. I didn’t even know he was really coming, and then he didn’t call to let me know he was at my door. Proof that little brothers will always be little brothers even when they are older. Love this one of my boys! And here’s one […]

OK, so this comment has nothing to do with this post, but I found this hysterical in an adorable way. In your Instagram feed on the right side it shows the super cute picture of Jude. And underneath his smiling photo is your photo. It looks like the same photo almost! haha. Both are wearing black and great? He might be wearing blue. But still…. it’s pretty funny the random way that came together.ReplyCancel

    Haha! That is funny!

Welcome to everyone from Kelly’s Korner!  I’ve been so excited about this SUYL that I decided to spend the past week focusing on adoption here on our mostly, non-adoption blog. This is the last post in the series, but I’ll have links to all the other topics we covered through out this post for you […]

I know names can be sort of a touchy subject within adoption, but I just felt like writing about it to get some feedback and also just to chat about names because I LOVE talking about names. We, of course, had a list of names that we liked prior to bringing Cruz home. However, choosing […]

You mentioned the meaning of Cruz’s name in Spanish and why you chose it, can you explain your other kids names (biblical background of why you chose them)?ReplyCancel

Sure, Jude is a book of bible, it means “Praise”. Zara is the hebrew word for “dawn” or the persian version of Princess. (There is actually a man name Zerah in the bible.) Ever is the meaning of the world Hebrew, which is supposedly taken from “Eber” (again, there is a man in the bible named Eber too haha!) meaning always aka Ever. They all have family middle names.ReplyCancel

  • I’m a HUGE name nerd! My husband and I chose our daughter’s name for the meaning (her name is Eliana, meaning “G-d has answered” and we had her after several years of infertility) but now we have a high standard for future names to have a lot of meaning!ReplyCancel

Exactly, it sets the bar high, but I think that’s a win too! xxooReplyCancel

Ok, I’m all caught up on your adoption posts. I was SO looking forward to reading them all. God has been really laying adoption (and possibly fostering) on my heart so much lately. I have no idea what this will look like or how it will play out, so pray for us! 🙂

As for names, oh girl, I LOVE to talk about names. We, too, choose names based on their meaning and significance. All of the boys have biblical names and Finley’s name means fair warrior. Her middle name is Grace.ReplyCancel

  • Love your adoption posts. I hope to adopt one day too.ReplyCancel

Love it, I’ve always especially been a huge face of “Grace” (and “Faith” too) because of the meanings!ReplyCancel
