I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Our’s didn’t end up the way we expected, but it was fun nonetheless! Friday, Joel came down with the cold we all had last week, so we weren’t able to take out trip to see family that we had planned. Since I had to work on Saturday (in the area where my family lives) I was on my own. I drove up, worked the day, and drove home. People who commute, I don’t know how you do it! I am used to it on weekends, but it would be so hard to do that every single day.
Sunday morning, first thing the kids got to open their Easter baskets from Grandma & Grandpa. My mom sent then since we wouldn’t be able to celebrate together, and since I was completely unprepared to celebrate Easter here, I’m so glad she did! How sad would it have been if I hadn’t done anything for them?
Since we figured Joel was still contagious, he stayed home with the kids while I went to do the sunday school for the service. When I got home, we decided to go eat brunch at a local diner. After that, we just hung out around the house and rested (it ended up being a really hot hot day!) We missed Ruby & Quin so much, but hopefully this next weekend everyone will be 100% so we can see everyone!
It was so super bright when we took these photos that the kids were having a hard time keeping their eyes open!
