Celebrating Quin

My sister is due to have her baby in just 7 weeks! I am so super excited to meet my new niece!  She is bound to be just as adorable and gorgeous as Ruby, and I really hope I’ll be able to make it to her birth!  Since Quin is the second girl in less then two years, we decided to skip a traditional shower, and just have 12 of Lindsay’s close friends over for an afternoon of laughter and delicious food – all in honor of Quin!  I never take enough pictures, but this time I got a little video of our antics too, which I hope will make up for it.  Katie hosted the party at her house, which is so adorably decorated, so we really didn’t have to do much to make the party pretty!

L to R: Emily, Mallory, Amy, Katie, Lindsay, Gina, Rachel, Me, Stephanie & Jackie (holding Josiah!)

Gina & Amy – Gina is pregnant with her second baby too!  A little nameless girl, due 4 days after Quin!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedZac made the succulent crate centerpiece for me.  I had the vision, he has the skills – and the beautiful planter now resides on his patio.  I can’t wait to see how it fills in as it grows!

Menu: Raspberry, Pear & Walnut Salad, Cucumber Sandwiches, Berry Tarts, Quiche Lorraine, Cranberry Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Sugar Cookies, Red Velvet Cake with Fresh Berries.  Choice of Tejava tea with Raspberries, Strawberries & Mint Leaves or Mini Pellegrinos.  Everything was delightful!

And now I leave you with a short clip of our entertainment via Gina & Katie.  We talked so hard and so long, and laughed until we teared up, and just enjoyed being together – it doesn’t happen often these days!  3 girls in the group are pregnant, so we talked all about childbirth, nursing, parent, baby furniture, strollers – yes, gone are the days of dancing, shopping, and constant boy troubles (thank GOD!)  Now we just laze around and enjoy nonsense… and it’s even better then I could have ever imagined!

…And I somehow didn’t capture any of Nana, Grandma Tonya (my mom) and Lisa with my camera, but good thing I took this one with instagram!
